Balloon & Helium FAQs

Responsible balloon use is easy if you remember some basic facts!

  • Balloons are intended for display purposes, excessive handling may cause damage and deflation.

  • Keep your balloons secured to a weight to avoid accidental release.

  • Extreme temperatures can cause your balloon to deflate or burst.

  • Balloons are intended for indoor use. If you choose to display outdoors please take weather conditions into consideration and secure with a suitably heavy weight to avoid accidental release. Please remember, keep away from extreme heat, cold air and out of direct sunlight, as this will decrease their lustre and lifespan.

  • Do not release helium balloons into the environment as they can harm wildlife and farm animals. They can also litter the countryside and coast.

  • Never use a metallic ribbon with a foil balloon. Some balloons may conduct electricity - Do not release near overhead power lines.

  • To avoid the possibility of an allergic reaction we advise you to use a balloon pump to inflate your balloons.

  • Do NOT ingest helium from an inflated balloon or canister.

  • If you are using a shop bought helium canister, they are diluted with air and will dramatically reduce the float time of your balloons.

  • Most shop bought helium canisters can be disposed of at local Household Waste Recycling Centres.

  • When you have finished enjoying your balloons, cut the neck, and properly dispose of them.
